About Lisa Bodnar
Determination and talent prevailed and the industry is taking notice, not even an act of God, or three, will keep singer/songwriter Lisa Bodnar down.... 4 Grammy nominations for "Come Hell or High Water" were just announced on this years ballot and the momentum is starting to build again.
We got a glimpse of Lisa Bodnar beginning in late 2003, prior to the official release of Maybe I Did as she began getting radio airplay, beginning in Philadelphia as a featured local artist on WXPN. Soon after that, Triple A, college radio and new music shows around the globe began to play many tracks of this release The Lisa Bodnar Bandwhich was a compilation of songs that she had written and then were recorded and produced by guitarist/engineer, Brett Kull.
Playing and promotion almost came to a halt as Lisa's home and rehearsal space were destroyed in 2004 by hurricane Ivan, in Spring 2005 and yet again in June 2006 by freak floods on the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. Having just a little bit of inspiration from these events, Lisa wrote another flood of songs, which are featured on her new CD, Come Hell or High Water
Come Hell or High Water captures the powerful emotions of loss and rebirth from this tumltuous time. The powerful collection of songs exudes a strength that lets us know, Come Hell or High Water, Lisa Bodnar is here to stay. Recorded at Kampo Studios in New York, her latest CD was the result of a collaborative effort by Lisa Bodnar, Dann Araque and multi-platinum engineer Dan Grigsby, whose credits include work with Keith Richards, Sting, and Joe Cocker.
