About Push Play
Considered to be something of a regional phenomenon, this group of Long Islanders is creating quite a following for themselves and the music industry is starting to notice them. Their first album, “Deserted,” reached iTunes top 100 sales list for a couple of weeks after its release.
This group of guys is getting compared to the Jonas Brothers, something they are flattered by but don’t really understand. Although they have the same pop undertones that the Jonas Brothers are famous for, Push Play has a rock edge that comes from influences such as Metallica and Brand New. That edge cannot be found in their counterparts’ music.
Push play is making waves with their own viral marketing attempt. Their MySpace page has generated so much interest in the band, but word-of-mouth in circles of middle school and high school girls has created even more hype for the band.
Most of the shows that Push Play performs raise money for charities with the band members taking away no money for themselves, simply covering the cost of the shows. They are in this business to play music, not make money and that’s why their shows are beginning to draw sell-out crowds!
