About Santa Mamba

What do you get when you combine the hot, hip-shaking sounds of salsa with the power of rock & roll, or fiery flamenco rhythms with the bass-driven funk of the Red Hot Chili Peppers? – well, mis amigos, meet Santa Mamba - a unique 6 piece band with a Latin soul and a body that loves to rock.

For over 10 years, Santa Mamba has entertained thousands of fans up and down the East Coast with live shows that engage and inspire audiences in a hot and sweaty dance party atmosphere. With 6 professionally-produced CDs under their belt including the newly-released Saints and Sinners , Santa Mamba is considered one of the most talented, exciting, and original acts in New England, combining a high level of musicianship with vast performing experience in a show that just makes you want to move and groove.

Santa Mamba is made up of six talented and seasoned musicians who bring diverse influences and backgrounds to the creation of their music. Venezuelan-born lead vocalist Gio Murillo grew up loving both classic rock and roll and the vital musical styles of Latin America . His undeniable presence as a showman and singer fuels the band and excites crowds. Nick Wade brings funky bass lines and amazing stage performance to the mix, while his brother Aaron Wade brings impressive, inspired, dynamic keyboard talent. Piloting the band are veterans Ajay Coletta on drums and John Mederios on guitar. Ajay's tight, rich grooves form the foundation of the Santa Mamba sound, and John has created a soaring signature sound on the guitar. Percussionist Candido Mendoza completes the group with congas, bongos, and timbales, adding spice and excitement to the band's unique sound.
