CRAIG KASTELNIK AND FRIENDS FEATURING BERNARD PURDIE ON DRUMS has been exciting audiences at festivals, concerts and club venues for the last several years.  The group, which highlights Bernard, ("The World's Most Recorded Drummer", with Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Roberta Flack, James Brown, Hall and Oates, etc.) appears at Musikfest, Musikfest Cafe at ArtQuest, Bethlehem PA, Tuesday, August 5, 2014, 8 PM (Free concert) to perform their magic with a soulful mix of Jazz, Funk, R&B and Latin Grooves!

Highly acclaimed keyboardist and vocalist CRAIG KASTELNIK (a native of the Lehigh Valley) has performed / recorded with such artists as Randy Brecker, Phil Woods, Larry Coryell, Bill Watrous Bob Dorough and Nina Simone's daughter (Simone) among many others.  A strong rhythmic feel of the groove and tasteful melodic sense adds to his unique approach to the Hammond organ / keyboard sound.  His soulful vocals are a powerful feature of the group.

PAT FLAHERTY, a solid performer, puts her signature style on every song she sings.  Her powerful but smooth, engaging vocal sound comes through to all audiences.  Influenced by singers Nancy Wilson, Roberta Flack, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra (among others), her personal connection with the crowd makes for a truly memorable performance.  A strong percussionist, she adds a solid component to the rhythm section.  Pat and Craig also form the award winning musical duo "KATO". 
 
TOM KOZIC, Guitar virtuoso, adds his amazing technique and style to the mix.  Having studied with Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell and Howard Roberts, Tom continues the tradition of masterful guitar playing, always in the groove with Craig and Bernard!

PETE FLUCK on saxophones and harmonica brings his energetic and versatile style to the stage.  Having performed at for many years at Musikfest he is a wonderful featured soloist in 
this group.
