By now, you're probably wondering something along the lines of "what the heck is a Musik-festivity?" Great question! A "Musik-festivity" is simply our "clever," new name for what we used to call "special events."

Walking Contest at Musikfest

Get a pedometer and log your steps!
Stop by one of our health tents (not including RiverPlace) to get a pedometer and return it once you’re finished “festing” for the day. If you walk a lot, you may win a prize!

Pedometers will be available every day of the festival starting Aug. 7. The contest will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. for the daytime crowd, and from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for the evening crowd. The pedometers will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Log the most steps and you’ll win the grand prize--two tickets to a 2011 RiverPlace performance of your choice, including a meet and greet session, pending artist approval. The next nine people who round out the top 10 participants will receive $50 gift cards to Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Youthful You Institute.

America On Wheels showcases over 75 exhibits of cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. The museum offers a glimpse of the past, present and future of the nation's over-the-road transportation system and preserves its history by looking back in time.

Come out and visit The ALS Association at Fowler & Peña Banana Island on Thursday, August 12th to support the fight against Lou Gehrig’s Disease. You can register for or donate to the 2010 Lehigh Valley Walk to Defeat ALS™ held on October 23, 2010 at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA. Make a $5 donation to the Walk and you will be entered into a drawing for a baseball signed by 1980 World Champion Phillie Gary Matthews. All money raised will benefit research and local patient services programs provided by The ALS Association.
