PHOTOPASS: Concert Photography
This is a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at Musikfest, one of the largest music festivals in the nation, with Brian Hineline, who's photographed hundreds of concerts over the past 15 years for Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and other publications. Participants start off in our Olympus Digital Imaging Center learning tips and techniques from Brian about taking fabulous concert photographs. Then it's on to the festival grounds to shoot at the Musikfest free stages, including behind-the-scenes candids that the public doesn't have access to. Capping it all off, you'll work alongside Brian in the "media area" at the Musikfest's Sands Steel Stage Soundboard!

BETHLEHEM, PA—GRAMMY-winning, chart-topping rockers Weezer will electrify the Musikfest crowd when they headline the festival's Sands Steel Stage Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $49-$59 and go on sale April 29, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and May 2, 10 a.m., to the public at www.musikfest.org and 610-332-3378.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1992, Weezer has released nine-full length albums and six EPs, selling more than 10 million records in the U.S. alone. The group's debut, the triple platinum Weezer (aka 'The Blue Album'), featured the hits Buddy Holly, Undone (The Sweater Song) and Say It Ain't So, earning the band a loyal fan base. In 2003, the record was named one of the Top 500 Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone.

Make Believe, released in 2005, became the group's highest charting album to date, hitting No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Two of the album's singles, Beverly Hills and Perfect Situation, also went on to top Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks charts. Three years later, the group captured a GRAMMY in the Best Short Form Video category for its hit, Pork and Beans, off Weezer (aka 'The Red Album').

Weezer has long been known for interacting with its followers, sharing videos, photos and more via its website and social media. In 2012, the group added a new experience for fans, launching the Weezer Cruise, an on-the-water adventure featuring performances by Weezer and 15 other groups. Today the band - Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner - continues to tour the nation, rocking audiences from coast to coast.

The 31st edition of Musikfest, set for Aug. 1-10, will feature 500 musical performances on 14 stages, as well as 60 food vendors, 45 artisans and more. Headliners previously announced for the festival include ZZ Top Aug. 1, Jason Derulo Aug. 3, Sheryl Crow Aug. 4, The Moody Blues Aug. 5, Steely Dan Aug. 6, The Avett Brothers Aug. 7, Alan Jackson Aug. 8 and Keith Urban Aug. 10.  Tickets for these concerts are on sale now at www.musikfest.org at 610-332-3378.
