Platinum star to perform on The Wind Creek Steel Stage Saturday, Aug. 12

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – ArtsQuest, media partner Cat Country 96 and presenting sponsor Capital Blue Cross are proud to announce record-breaking country star Maren Morris will bring her songs to life for the Musikfest 2023 crowd on the Wind Creek Steel Stage Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023. Member ticket access begins Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m., with remaining tickets on sale to the public at musikfest.org beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13. Maren Morris, armed with incredible vocal stylings, songwriting chops, sheer talent and honest lyrics is an undeniable record-breaking musical presence. Her third album “Humble Quest,” has been nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards, debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, broke the record for most first day and first week streams globally on Amazon Music for a country album by a female artist and features the Gold single “Circles Around This Town,” which broke Amazon Music’s record for most streams for a country song debut by a female artist.

Her triple Platinum single “The Bones” topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 19 consecutive weeks, became the first solo female multi-week #1 on country radio since 2012 and earned Maren Song of the Year and Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards, Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year at the CMA Awards, Female Artist of the year and Music Event of the Year at the ACM Awards and Grammy nomination for Best Country Song.

Her breakout Platinum-certified debut album “HERO,” earned her a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance, New Female Vocalist of the Year at the ACM Awards and New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. “HERO” features Platinum hits “My Church,” “80s Mercedes” and “I Could Use a Love Song.” Morris’s sophomore album, “GIRL” was named Album of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards. In 2020 Maren and her husband Ryan Hurd were nominated for a Grammy and two CMA Awards for their #1, Platinum-certified first official duet “Chasing After You.”

A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 40th Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 4 – 13, 2023. This year’s Musikfest 2023 poster artist is Allentown-based family Maltas Con Leche.
