Luckenbach Mill

Test your engineering and science skills with a variety of exciting activities developed by the DaVinci Science Center as a part of our educational program, “America’s First Industries: Along the Monocacy Creek,” highlighting how the Moravians were able to craft the things they did including sturdy cabins, their own clothing and more.

Springhouse Exhibition

August 4-13, 12-7 pm
Learn about the original Springhouse, built by the Moravians to enclose a high-volume spring that was an essential natural resource for the colonists.

Blacksmith

What’s it like to be a blacksmith? Find out at the 1750 Smithy, where professional blacksmiths demonstrate how Moravians forged hooks, hinges and door handles.

Waterworks

Be wowed by the 1762 Waterworks, a National Historic Landmark and the first pumped municipal water system in America! This impressive waterwheel helped pump spring water 92 vertical feet to a tower and gravity provided water to five locations.
